Full-Time Carnivore Specialist

ZooWorld Zoological Park is hiring 1 Full-Time Carnivore Specialist.

Pay range: $16-$18 /hour

 

Located just miles from the beautiful beaches and emerald green waters of Panama City Beach, ZooWorld is a 5 acre zoological park with a collection of approximately 250 animals.  This small zoo feel has big zoo impacts through animal welfare programs, local, national and international conservation initiatives and award winning exhibits!

Join a fast paced forward focused team as we develop new husbandry and training routines for our carnivore section.  Lions, hyenas, aardwolves, bears, tiger and many other species call ZooWorld home and you should too!

 

Daily duties will include: husbandry and observation, assistance with medical care as needed, diet preparation, inventory and ordering.  Participation in animal welfare assessments. Daily guest interactions by means of keeper chats and up close animal experiences. Training and enrichment as guided by animal care leadership as well as additional tasks related to providing the best husbandry, welfare and guest experience possible per zoo SOPs and protocols.

 

Priority will be given to applicants with more than 3 years documented and paid carnivore experience.
